Mr. Mark Andreasen currently serves as the Assistant Principal for Riverside Preparatory High School. Preceding his administrative position he taught at Riverside Preparatory High School and at Silverado High School.  During the course of his teaching career he served as the Science Department Chair and as the coach for the Silver Knights High School Boy’s Basketball Team.  Over the years he has had the pleasure of teaching students: Biology, Biology II, Life Science, Physical Science, Anatomy and Physiology, and AP Biology. Mr. Andreasen earned his teaching credential and masters from the University of Redlands.  Prior to Redlands he graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology.

Mr. Bell has been a Silver Knight since 2007. He has worked in school administration since 2005. Mr. Bell has worked in education since 1996 when he began at Hesperia High School. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University San Bernardino and a Master of Science degree in Special Education from National University San Diego, California. Mr. Bell has been involved with coaching young men and women of all ages from youth 6yrs to adults up to 27 yrs in a variety of capacities since 1993. His teaching background includes work in Hesperia and Apple Valley School Districts. His administrative work includes stops in Victor Valley and Oro Grande. Mr. Bell serves as a member of school accreditation committees for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Mr. Bell currently enjoys the opportunity of being the Principal of Riverside Preparatory High School. He is active in his local community and his church.

Mr. Terry Colvin earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Chapman University and a Bachelors of Arts in Biological Science/Secondary Education from the University of Arkansas.  He holds credentials in Biology and General Sciences in California and in Arizona.  Mr. Colvin also holds a Single Subject Teaching/Secondary Biological Science Teaching Credential, a Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential and a life time CLAD Certificate.

Before coming to Riverside Prep Middle School Mr. Colvin’s professional experience included thirteen years of teaching in the areas of General Science, Life Science, Earth Science, Biology and Honors Level Human Anatomy and Physiology.  Mr. Colvin has worked with and supervised ASB/Student leadership and has been a Senior Class Advisor. Mr. Colvin was a Science Department Chairperson for five years, he worked five years as a High School Administrator at a large comprehensive high school and worked one year as a Child Welfare and Attendance/School Attendance Review Board/Expulsion Chairperson.

Mr. Colvin’s philosophy of education is:  All students should receive a solid educational foundation in a safe, highly structured, learning environment that includes highly qualified teachers utilizing technology, using best teaching practices, and incorporating Problem Based Learning with real-world applications in order to develop successful and productive life time learners.

Mrs. Prickett is our School Administrative Manager at Riverside Prep Elementary.  She has been with Riverside Prepatory for four years and has 15 years of experience working at an elementary school site.  Mrs. Prickett was hired as the School Office Manager at an Elementary School in Apple Valley and worked there 11 years before coming to Riverside Prepatory in July 2008 as our Office Manager.  She was promoted to School Administrative Manager during the 2009 school year and was also covering the School Office Manager position. Mrs. Prickett is currently the School Administrative Manager and is in charge of supervising Proctors and handling most discipline at the elementary site.

Mrs. Kyla Rivera currently serves as the elementary principal.  Prior to this year, she served as the secondary Dean and Academic Counselor. She has also taught at Riverside Prep. and in Apple Valley School District.

Mrs. Rivera has a Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Education, a multiple subject credential and an administrative credential. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with the dedicated teachers, amazing students and supportive parents at Riverside Prep. When Mrs. Rivera is not at school she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family, traveling, and reading.

Mrs. Sanchez has worked in the school environment in the areas of Assessment and Academic Counseling since 2001.  She came to Riverside Preparatory in 2008 as the Director of Assessment.  Mrs. Sanchez has mentored in the Academic counseling for the past eight years and is in the process of  pursuing her BS in Psychology with the University of Phoenix.  Mrs. Sanchez enjoys working with students and assisting them towards their college and/or career goals post high school. I might switch to Brandman University depending upon which program offers me the most credits from my AA.
