Scholarships

American G.I. Forum- This scholarship is for graduating seniors who are offspring/siblings of active Military Personnel/Veterans.  The American G.I. Forum will be giving out four scholarships.   http://www.agif.org/scholarships.htm

Burger King Scholarship- This scholarship is for high school seniors with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.  The student must be planning to enroll full-time for the 2012-13 academic year at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school.  https://www.scholarshipamerica.org/burgerkingscholars/

Elks Nat’l Foundation- The Elks foundation awards over $2 million in scholarships.  The application deadline is December 2, 2011.  Completed applications must be turned in to the Victorville Elks Lodge at 14041 Hesperia Rd.  http://www.agif.org/scholarships.htm

Gates Millennium Scholarship.  This is a need-based, merit scholarship for those interested in computer science, education, engineering, library science, mathematics, public health, or science.  Log onto www.gmsp.org or come by the counseling office for more information.  Deadline is January 11, 2012.

LYNN Foundation- Seniors who plan to attend any college. Must live in the high desert and have a GPA of 3.5 and above. If you have a lower GPA, APPLY with a statement explaining why AND why you need the scholarship. This scholarship is renewable each year of college! Essay required on the high desert (any subject) life. www.lynnfoundation.net        Deadline: March 31

 

MEEC (Mojave Environmental Education Consortium) Science Scholars

Ryan Cambridge Memorial Scholarship- $500.00 – $1500.00 per year (renewable). For seniors planning to attend a two year community college or Technical/Trade School.  http://sunsetchildren.org

Scripps College- For Senior females who are interested in attending Scripps College. There are four scholarships available ranging from $10,000 per year to a full cost scholarship. Deadlines are November 15, 2011 and January 2, 2012.   http://scrippscollege.edu/academics/fellowships/index.php

Sullivan Leadership Award.  This scholarship is for Seattle University.  It’s a four year scholarship equal to full tuition, room and meals.  For more information go to www.seattleu.edu/sullivan .  Deadline is November 15, 2011.
